Hello, my name is Dan, a freelance graphic designer, owner of a Megaesophagus dog and married to my beautiful wife. Welcome to Travels in Gaming. A somewhat left-field travel blog where I’ll share in my digital, 4k, 60fps journey. Looking at games from a sideways perspective, treating them like a getaway, a holiday from my 9-5. Meeting new friends, exploring new universes & saving the princess.
I have already visited New York, The Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule, Feudal Japan & LittleBIGPlanet, but many new destinations lay ahead. There’ll also probably be the odd review, maybe even some self-created fan art and custom cases.
But mostly, this is a journal, my diary, my passport – where trophies are my stamps (look at all those platinums)…
My gaming addiction started way back in the late 80′s when my parents… I mean Santa Claus… brought me a NES & Super Mario Brothers. It was love at first sight.
As not everyone understands the wonderful world of gaming I thought I’d start a blog, share my thoughts, trials and tribulations and show people where I’ve been through the wonderful medium of the interwebnet.
